Baby = Food
Ah, I wished I'd found this old post by Ruth sooner than now!
Baby foods
Inevitably, the "week x" e-mail, Web page, or chapter in a book will attempt to compare the current size and perhaps shape of your growing child to food. So far ours has been (roughly in reverse order, although I might argue with the sizes of the food these writers are eating):
- At 21 weeks, I think I've run out of foods! At least until we're up to melon size. :-) The Discovery Channel's "Conception to Birth" show called it a squirrel. Some people eat squirrel, so maybe that counts?
- small zucchini
- large sweet potato (18 weeks)
- large onion
- avocado
- peach (14 weeks)
- lemon
- jumbo shrimp
- lime
- fig (Apr. 26 - 11 wks)
- walnut (Apr. 22)
- kumquat (Apr. 21)
- cocktail shrimp (Apr. 18)
- strawberry
- grape
- kidney bean
- raspberry
- small olive
- green pea
I'll keep updating the list as it grows, at least until we get to "large watermelon"!
